BBQLogic is operated by Nordmark Digital. This Privacy Policy explains what data BBQLogic collects, how the data is used, and how users can request deletion of their account and associated data.
BBQLogic collects and stores the data needed to provide the app functionality. This may include:
The data is used to provide BBQLogic features, including account access, saving and restoring cooking sessions, showing temperature and tenderness estimate graphs, syncing data between devices, sending optional notifications, supporting optional MEATER auto-logging, improving time estimates based on similar previous cooking sessions, and adjusting the tenderness estimate based on the user's own assessments of previous cooking sessions.
Personal time-estimate profiles are used only to support time estimates for the user's own account. They are not shared with other users and are not used to create a general model for other users.
Personal tenderness adjustments are used only to adjust the calculation for the user's own account. They are not shared with other users and are not used to create a general model for other users.
BBQLogic does not sell user data.
BBQLogic uses Firebase and Google Cloud services for authentication, database storage, hosting, cloud functions and push notifications. Cooking sessions, logs, app settings and derived personal estimate profiles are stored in the cloud and linked to the user's account so they can be restored and used across sessions and devices.
If the user connects MEATER, BBQLogic uses MEATER connection data to retrieve thermometer readings from MEATER Cloud for automatic logging. MEATER integration is optional. BBQLogic uses this data only to provide the auto-logging feature and related app functionality.
If the user enables notifications, BBQLogic may store a notification token in order to send app-related notifications, such as temperature or logging-related alerts. Notifications are optional and can be disabled by the user.
BBQLogic does not share user data with advertisers or sell user data to third parties. Data may be processed by service providers used to operate the app, such as Firebase, Google Cloud and Google Play services.
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections. BBQLogic uses standard cloud security features provided by Firebase and Google Cloud. No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but reasonable measures are used to protect user data.
Users can request deletion of their BBQLogic account and associated app data by contacting: lars.petter.nordmark@gmail.com.
Please include the email address used for the BBQLogic account so the correct account can be identified.
When an account is deleted, BBQLogic deletes account-related app data, including saved cooks, temperature logs, notes, ratings, tenderness self-assessments, personal tenderness adjustments, personal time-estimate profiles, app preferences, notification tokens and MEATER connection data stored by BBQLogic.
Some limited records may be retained if required for legal, tax, security, abuse prevention or transaction purposes. Google Play purchase records are handled by Google according to Google Play policies.
Account deletion requests are normally processed within 30 days.
BBQLogic is not intended for children. The app is intended for users who prepare food using hot cooking equipment and can do so safely and responsibly.
